Good book app, but could be better

The app is fine for reading and the range of books available from my library is excellent. There is one annoying aspect, though. About every 6-8 weeks, when I attempt to borrow a book, I have to verify my library card, as if my account has been dropped.

Great app, short borrowing time

Great user interface, which makes it a joy to use, both with regards to the audiobook and e-book experiences. I wish that you could borrow the books for a longer time than 21 days.

Works really great

Such a great app with a large selection of books. The app is accommodating eg. with a font specifically for people with dyslexia. It is easy to navigate and use👍

Great, but...

After last update I cannot delete any books from wishlist. So currently I have several books already listened to on the list, and since my list is already pretty long, it’s a bit annoying. Actually I think the app was way easier to use before that last update 🤷🏼‍♀️

RBdigital was much better . Dont know why Danish library dropped it. This one is slow and it take long time to load a page. Its a real hassle to read a magazine without something happens : wait for a reload or it simply disappear . Maybe my IPad is to old but this is not a good option for sure.

Amazing content. Butchered user experience

Libby is a great tool and I’ve loved using it until the recent update. It used to be so intuitive but now it’s the complete opposite. I thought it was only a matter of time to get used to the new interface but that’s not the case. Why change something that was working so great?!!

Betydelig plads til forbedring

Fint interface uden at være glimrende. Lydkvaliteten er ringe, og jeg har ventet i en måned på at en digital lydbog endelig skulle blive ledig, for så at app’en forvirrer mig ved at fortælle, at mit “hold” er udløbet, selvom det reelt stadig lader til at være aktivt.

Has many good features, but hard to navigate in

When you jump from one to another it’s not logic and you often feel lost and don’t know how to return to the page you want.

Good concept, bad execution

I’m an avid reader. I’m the type of reader, that will NEED the next book in the series as quickly as humanly possible if the first one was good. This app is no help in that department.

You always have to “wait 4 weeks” for books to be available, especially if the book you’re looking for, is somewhat well known.

I don’t mind having to wait a few days, but by the time 4 weeks have passed, I will have found another way to get ahold of what I want to read, and therefore not end up using Libby.

In my opinion, they should have more volumes available at a time, especially for high in demand books, because when they don’t, I will just find my book elsewhere.

If I wanted things to be difficult to get ahold off, I’d just go to my local library. And even there, they’re better at managing to get me the book I’m looking for, within a reasonable time.

My best library app

Everything work. The features are useful, the interface is intuitive. Loaning and returning is easy to understand and the graphics in the app are great. This app - surprisingly - beats most of its payed competitors on all parameters.

Lang ventetid

Det er dejligt at man kan læse/høre bøger gratis, men det er lidt irriterende med den lange ventetid. Dog er der god udvalg af engelske bøger!

Cant open my borrowed books

Browsing and borrowing is fun and easy. But if I start Reading a book it is impossible for me to open the book again later. It just keeps loading and so I can’t finish the books I borrow in time. Right now I have a book due in 4 days and I have only read half of it because of difficulties loading it.

Frustrating

Newest version is less convenient: the audiobook overview is awful now. To see where I am in the book I have to go to the Shelf and that command is placed in the most awkward place on the screen and called “back”...

If you’re going to change something, please make it better for the users. :(

Supergod app. Man kan læse i to spalter, altid se hvor mange sider, der er tilbage i bogen og i det enkelte kapitel. App’en minder om Apples “bøger”👌🏼.

Og tænk: man kan sidde hjemme og vælge mellem en verden af bøger.

I recommend it to all book lovers, not a waste at all!

The only thing I would change and bring home the last star, was if there weren’t any waiting for your turn. I mean there is no need for it, all should be available since it’s digital, right?

I just don’t understand why you have to reserve and return a book when it’s literally online? Like i’m so confused, whaaat? And then I also have to wait to read a book because someone else is reading it and I’m like it’s freaking online what? Like have I just misunderstood something or like?

Brilliant way of reading

I love how easy it is to see how far along in chapters you are, and the many ‘small’ nicenesses! They only bad side is that you only rent books for 20 days, I’m used to 30 from the public libraries.. 😁
