Thoroughly enjoyable experience
Only wish there’d be a way to browse and purchase books from the kindle app. Also, formatting options feel a bit dated, UI could use a modernizing. Best reading app there is, using it daily. Thank you!

Loving sitting down and find out what am I wanting to read. Find the Kindle app on my smartphone - what does the app Kindle recommend, based on what I have read earlier. I make my choice after a few looks.
The book is downloaded and my reading starts. Bliss.

Started out so good
Well as these series sometimes does, it started out so good. Then it sort of just lost direction. Would not have read the third volume, if I had not bought all three ay the same time. Well, that should teach me. All of that said, it did pass the time and who am I to say you won´t enjoy it.

A lot of cosmetic non-essential changes. But we can still not choose to store our library in iCloud.
Does what it is supposed to but nothing more.
- No way to access the Kindle Store, so the big selling point compared to readers with less content is somewhat moot on iOS
- No way to choose where to store content locally, i.e. no Archives/iCloud use
In general, the development effort seems rather relaxed and slow paced.

Aa menu
I really dislike the new Aa menu. In fact, I thought my Kindle app was broken, until I found out it was an update. The new menu takes up far too much space. The tabs on the menu mean that it takes too long to switch backgrounds, which I need to do, in order to be able to read in different lighting conditions. The feature is absolutely not a cosmetic thing to make my book "look purdy." Along with some of the other problems I've noticed recently, like shifting the brightness in a random way and highlighting great swathes, when I only wanted to highlight one or two words. The Kindle app for iPad OS delivers a fairly poor reading experience.

Kindle for Mac is good but it would be even better if one could organize books in folders after authors and type of book.

Complete waste of bits
So you Can initially browse a few genres of books... but its not really connected to the Amazon kindle shop. You can read maby 3 chapters like a teaser, but then nothing else. Theres no links to Amazon store, you are stuck and cant use the app for anything. The app is NOT a kindle reader.

Kindle is flexible and easy to use on multiple devices
I do not own a reader but use the good, free software, later I may invest in a reader.
Recommend Reading e-books allthough sometimes an old fashioned book is Nice too.

Quantity over quality
The best thing to say about the app, and the reason to use this over iBooks, is it’s great selection of books with amazon.
Unfortunately the app could be much better, I can’t see page numbers, can’t buy books within the app and the app keeps randomly shifting the page content just a bit whenever I exits and returns to the app.
All things that the iBooks app handles much better.

Why is the app not downloading my ebooks from amazon?
I was happy with this app until it stopped working for me. The last few books I’ve bought on amazon for the kindle app just don’t appear in the app. I have updated the app several times now and still it’s not working!!

Indispensable
Is the first word that comes to mind, when Kindle is discussed.
The advantages of travelling with a substantial library, weighing nothing, as well as of saving shelf space in the home, are
obviously significant.
Another advantage of the PC-based Kindle is the opportunity to have the book on a half screen and a text file as the other half, for tranlation purposes.
Like I said: Indispensable.
