Updating problem

I think there’s a problem updating to IMDB version 11.15.1 with the latest version of IOS software (12.5.4) on an iPhone 6.

Updating proceeds normally until the last moment, and the reverts to the original ‘update’ message. I have tried this repeatedly.

Jeg bruger denne fantastiske hjemmeside konsekvent, før jeg bruger tid på at se film, dokumentar eller serier. Den er en kæmpe hjælp til at forebygge spild af god tid på dårlig underholdning.

Ligeledes gives der masser af inspiration til andre film samt interessante informationer om skuespillere, instruktører mm.

I mange år har appen virket fint men pludselig kan jeg ikke logge på mere. Hverken med facebook eller mail. Får altid en error-side frem. Jeg bruger en iPhone 5, hvis dette skulle have betydning.

HATE the new update

Having the movie poster crammed up in the very top and act as a weird slide show just just doesn’t work at all. And looks really unprofessional too.

I also feel like it’s almost insulting to the movie to not be able to see the whole poster when viewing a movie.

After the newest update it seems stupid to go down on the bottom of the screen and tap search and then go up on the screen to type the search. Seems rather stupid. It should be in the same place. It so annoying...This is on the iPad.

New layout is a mess - and now I can't even log in on iOS 10

Like many others I think the new layout is a mess. The previous versions were very easy and quick to USE. Now it take a lot of TIME and effort to get to the info you want. HBO have a messy interface too. Look at the feedback they get. I hope you will straighten things up, as IMDB basically is very useful and enjoyable.

Edit: I tried to log in on my iOS 10 iPad. That's not even possible anymore? Why do we have to replace our gadgets almost every year to be able to use them? It's seems I have to go back to my lousy Windows PC to get access to the good stuff.

“Infected” with ads 😡😡😡👎👎👎

The app used to be so brilliant. Why, oh why did you have to utterly ruin our experience of using it, by infecting it with those intrusive and oh-so-pesky video ads, that not only fill up the whole screed, but even start playing by themselves?!? I’ll stop using the IMDB app until you find a better way to serve the ads. Until then, BIG thumbs down 👎👎👎👎👎

Getting logged out at random + bad search

I keep getting logged out at random with the new version - and the new search function is not very good either (why all the extra clicks??) 😔 Used to love the app...

Latest updates made it worse

This app is a really good place to find new movies and ratings. Unfortunately recent updates made the experience worse. Its harder to find what you’re looking for.

Another really annoying “feature” is that the app now logs me out for no reason.

I don’t like the new version. I have the feeling that you put so many things into the app, so no one can find out where to start and where to stop.

I liked the app as it was before. For me the possibility to search for a movie or an actor is essential. It should be just as easy as it was before. I really hope, you give us the previous version back.

Lazy new design

I was kinda surprised to open the app and see the new design. Not because it’s good but because it now hides the search feature on page 2 instead of being ready to go when opening.

This feels and looks like your design team took a UI kit, throw your colors on it and said “This is gonna be better, because everybody else is doing this design”.

I hope you tested this design BEFORE going live with it and you got something good out of it, because I use your app to quickly look up information, which is now being slowed down with:

1. the search bar being hidden

2. the login feature being unstable (had to log in twice since the update, which is the first time since I got the app)

3. You now promoting a Facebook, Twitter, Instagram wannabe start screen where you have to scroll like a mindless zombie to see if there is anything worth watching on it.

To sum up. It don’t feel like you fixed anything, you just broke what was working.

There is at least one ui issue in the new version as of early dec. ‘19. You have to click two different places to have the typing going on at a third location. This can be done better...

New Update - But STILL NOT any Country / Language filter on our WATCHLIST 🙄👎 How difficult can it be to add an Extra Filter !?!? 🤨

It is great that You FINALLY have added a Country / Language filter to the Search options 👍 But then when you do it - why don’t you do it in ALL aspects !?!? 🙄 it would have made Perfect sense to ALSO add the Country / Language filter to the “Watchlist” 🤔 so that We quickly would be able to find all Movies from Japan 🇯🇵 or Thailand 🇹🇭 (and so on) on Our personal Watchlist...

We can sort the Watchlist by “Year” and “Rating” and “Runtime” - and We can filter (Refine) the List by “Genres” and “Rating” - so why not ALSO be able to Filter the Watchlist by “Country” or “Language” ?? 🙄👎

It would make the Website / App so Much more User-friendly
