We are institutional investors in the owner (Tencent) and could contact investor relations, but most users dont’t have this option....

New people can’t register without preapproval of another member, who has to have WeChat account for at least 6 months.
So if you don’t know anyone who is using the app for that long, you won’t be getting to use it anyways.

This is plain stupid. I didn't get any verification message nor a phone call from you. I can't log in and can't use the app.

App is NOT working.
Have asked for verification Code several times, but have not yet recieved a text with the code. I have also tryed to download the app onto another device, but it is still not working.
When I ask for the code in a phonecall, there are no one in the phone, when I am answering the Call.

Wechat is what Facebook and Twitter should be...just better. Has all the functions of a social app but without the annoying notifications and complications. More than 500 million users proves this is good stuff.

Pros: Very usefull to quickly send a short message - much faster then sms and more flexible then a common phone.
Cons:
